Want to get your day started right? Pack the family into your Kia Seltos and head off to these spots. These are the best breakfast places in Oconomowoc, WI, and some of our favorite destinations for the day’s most important meal.

Lake House Cafe

The Lake House Café is located at 662 E. Wisconsin Ave. and opens up at 6:30 AM for an early breakfast. The staff here is great, and the best thing about it is the fresh and delicious ingredients that go into every meal. This is not the cheapest place to have breakfast, but it may be the highest quality breakfast available in our immediate area.

They do a variety of delicious eggs benedict, including a seafood benedict that comes with crab, shrimp, and a chipotle hollandaise sauce. The peach pecan waffle is a delicious treat, and the black bear omelet comes with diced ham, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and two types of cheese. We also recommend their French crêpes and strawberry pancakes, and the kids will love the chocolate chip pancakes or the French toast.

Amalia’s Family Restaurant

If you’re looking for a traditional diner-style restaurant with good prices and a family-friendly atmosphere, try the spot at 183 E. Wisconsin Ave. It’s in the Avenue Square Mall. They open from 7 AM every morning, but they get really hopping by about 9 o’clock, so come early if you don’t want to wait. Breakfast is a specialty here, so the menu is extensive.

We would recommend the country-fried steak and eggs or the unusual and delicious Polish sausage and eggs. They also have a really nice Texas French toast, and the Lumberjack, which is a Belgian waffle with two eggs and three pieces of crispy bacon or sausage links. The Cin-a-Bun French toast with the blueberry glaze is also fantastic. If you don’t want something sweet, try their homemade quiche or the grilled buttermilk breakfast croissant, which is topped with cheese and comes with scrambled eggs and ham, bacon, or sausage. They also have all kinds of combos and specials to explore and an extensive kids’ breakfast menu.

Maxim’s at Oconomowoc Depot

At 115 E Collins St, this train-themed restaurant is located in a 19th-century stone train depot is serving up delicious breakfast in a very cool location. They open at 7 AM every day and have a welcoming and family-friendly breakfast atmosphere.

Try their delicious omelets. We really like the Greek, which comes with gyro meat, tomatoes, onions, Greek olives, and feta cheese with a side of tzatziki sauce. You’ll also enjoy their corn beef hash and eggs, and the Cowboy skillet, which is steak with vegetables and cheddar cheese on top of fingerling potatoes. They do some delicious gluten-free crepes, very nice pancakes and waffles, and an interesting and unusual strawberry bruschetta.

The Kia Sportage has room to take your whole family out to breakfast and for everyone to stretch out in and recover afterward. To see one of these in action, come visit us at Ewald Kia Of Oconomowoc today.
